Soccer season kicks off with an early start

Student-athletes spring into action and mark the start of a new high school futsal season. Eager teammates gathered a month before the season officially began to clock in extra scrimmages and skillwork. With the implementation of friendly games against the local military base school and a transition from 5 to 7 players in the sports league, the Jets need more talent and experience on the field. Additionally, turbulent weather and a lack of practice space presents barriers.

Middle school futsal teams thrive amidst unexpected ups and downs

After an intense battle at the Korean International Schools Activities Conference (KISAC) tournament, the middle school futsal teams ventured to Pohang for the Southern Korean Athletic Conference (SKAC) finals on November 14th. Boys’ varsity, junior varsity, and girls’ varsity all secured the second spot, whilst girls’ B1 and B2 navigated through emotional peaks and valleys.

Middle school girls secure second place & boys take home a big win

The middle school futsal teams embarked on a journey to Jeju for the Korean International Schools Activities Conference (KISAC) soccer tournament on Oct. 19. The boys competed at North London Collegiate School (NLCS) while the girls competed at Branksome Hall Asia (BHA). The girls’ varsity team won 2nd place after a tough defeat at the finals against NLCS, and the girls’ junior varsity team ended 5th, as well as the boys’.

Elementary schoolers win big in season kickoff

Elementary school students enjoyed a day of fierce competition in Busan at the first SKAC divisional tournament of the year on September 23rd. Both the girls' and boys' teams fought hard throughout the day and came home with unexpected results.

High School Futsal: Boys Battle it Out & Girls Make it to the Semis

The high school futsal teams headed to Pohang for their last tournament of the SKAC (South Korean Activities Committee) season. The air filled with buzz as the annual futsal tournament unfolded. Both the boys and girls fought hard, but the road to victory proved challenging, as the boys exited after the quarterfinals and the girls fell short in the semis.

High School Futsal Transitions to Soccer for KISAC Premiere

The high school futsal teams traveled to Jeju for the KISAC (Korea International Schools Activities Conference) soccer tournament during the second week of April. DIS plans to officially join KISAC in the near future, as the new sports conference provides more experience for players. Both squads upped their games and transitioned from futsal to soccer.

KISAC Invites Jets to Tournament in Busan

The middle school girls traveled to the International School of Busan to compete at the KISAC (Korea International Schools Activities Conference) tournament last weekend. This was the first invitation sent to DIS for a KISAC soccer tournament. The girls played in nine matches in the B Division, winning eight, tying one, and they suffered no losses.
