The Jets capped off the 2025-2026 school year at the third and final assembly. The event featured rock band performances, dance routines by the Illusion Dance Team, the Drama Club’s rendition of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and more on May 20. In between performances, faculty representatives congratulated 40 Book Challenge winners, NHD finalists, and a successful season of middle and high school sports. With less than two weeks left to go, the Jets await more entertaining events next year.

Leanne Yoon, dubbed as “Lenny” by her close friends, enters her fifth and final year on staff as the Editor-in-Chief of the Jets Flyover. She makes up for her petite stature with fiery charisma and overflowing passion. As an active leader of clubs such as Menstruation Station, SOAR, Competitive Debate and String Orchestra, Leanne often ponders on what else she could bring to her fellow Jets. Off-campus, she travels all around the world – from the United Arab Emirates to France to Australia – to voice her opinions to an international audience. Leanne writes, takes photos, edits articles, and manages the Flyover. In her final year, she hopes to leave a lasting legacy in the newsroom.

Alex Seo, Managing Editor
Alex Seo (finally) joins the Journalism class in his sophomore year as the youngest editor on the staff (a.k.a. baby editor). His enthusiasm for Flyover spreads to his friends every Friday when he shares school news and local stories. After writing 10,000 different captions and 20,000 sports articles, he now plans to draft more in-depth feature and opinion pieces. He can’t wait to develop as a writer, an editor, and a sophomore this year.

With a promotion to an arts & entertainment section editor from a regular writer in a year, Sophia joins the newsroom again with an eagerness to help the writers improve their skills. They often invest their free time in movies, music and visual arts, which showcases their enthusiasm for various pieces of media. Sophia won Best of SNO twice last year and hopes to continue their contributions to the Jets Flyover.
