[Brief] National Arts Honor Society Hosts Q&A Event

The National Arts Honors Society (NAHS) recently hosted a Q&A session open for all DIS students. Members collected questions for the event during advisory period on March 24th. Students submitted the questions by sending direct messages to the NAHS Instagram @dis_nahs, which will also have the responses uploaded to the same account later this week. For those that didn’t have Instagram, NAHS also accepted responses through email. A wide range of questions overarching various fields of art was asked: Art History, Fashion and Design, Digital Art, Animation, Art Business, Fine Arts, Famous Artists, and more.

[Brief] Boba Sale Comes to an End

The National Chinese Honor Society has seen success in its bubble tea sale last week. Students from all grade levels gathered to fetch the delicious milk tea with some additional snacks. In fact, the demand was so high that the club had to skip out on selling bubble teas last Friday to restock its supply. All profits from the sales will go towards the NCHS funds to promote other activities that appreciate Chinese culture in the future.

[Brief] DSAA Hosts Schoolwide Photo Contest

The Daegu Student Animal Association, DSAA, is hosting a school-wide photo competition to show a different side of the DIS community—the pets! The deadline to submit photos is Tuesday, March 22nd. By participating, you automatically win a dress-down day on Thursday, March 24th.

[Brief] SOAR Celebrates My Freedom Day

Students Organizing Against Racism (SOAR) has hosted a Q&A Event via a Google Form from March 14th to the 16th in celebration of ‘My Freedom Day.’ #MyFreedomDay, a student-driven event to raise awareness on modern slavery and forced labor, is celebrated on March 16th all over the world.

Prom Committee Funds the Big Dance with a Big Raffle

The Prom Committee made a come-back with their raffle, held from the 21st of February till the 24th. Students and faculty were given an opportunity to win general gift certificates and gift cards from Shinsegae and Starbucks–all they had to do was pay for tickets and hope to get lucky.
