The high school volleyball divisional was hosted on Saturday, October 15th, at DIS. From 9 AM to 5 PM, the teams shared court time in 4 different locations. Families, fans, and other members of the DIS community showed up to show school spirit. While our mascot, Glider, cheered and posed for photos all day long, parents sold delicious snacks in the Snack Shack with the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). With the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) members keeping score during matches and guest referees from the Daegu Volleyball Association, a fair tournament was ensured. For the boys, Team 1 finished in first place going undefeated, Team 2 won two games, and Team 3 also finished strong. For the girls, Teams 1 and 2 both won two games and Teams 3 and 4 also showed great effort. The volleyball teams look forward to bringing home the trophy from the finals held on November 17th at Busan Foreign School (BFS) and the International School of Busan (ISB).

This continued tradition had halted for a while due to COVID, but finally, DIS was able to hold an open event for families to come to participate. With positive feedback from parents and students alike, the night was a great success. Mrs. Cameron proudly remarks that over 200 students and parents participated.
