2023: Flyover staff picks

As the world returned to its pre-pandemic rhythm, 2023 confronted us all with the paradox of choice - the dilemma we face with an abundance of options - in every aspect of our daily lives. Diverse media, travel locations, and hobbies allured us over the months, including several which the Flyover reviewed. As our staff members wrap up the first half of their school year, we bring to you another annual Staff Pick’s list. With an updated inventory, we introduce to you the ultimate top choices to fill your holidays with joy.

2022: Flyover Staff Picks

As restrictions from the pandemic slowly start to ease, the school created more events compared to the past couple of years, all documented here, on the Jets Flyover. Nevertheless, the constant consumption and exploration of media amongst the staff have continued since the few last year’s semi-quarantined lifestyle. Without further ado, we present the renewed Staff Pick’s list for the 2022 holiday season.

Forget about the frosty weather, a warm Christmas is right around the corner. A merry 25th is all about heartening carols, mouthwatering hot chocolate, elaborate ornaments, and most importantly, the lavish presents. No one gets sick of extra special gifts waiting for them under their Christmas tree. I bet there are kids just like me – brainstorming about what I crave this year. I surfed the internet for hours to find the perfect treats for me. To help some of you out, I assembled a Christmas wish list with some of the best gift ideas you can ask for.

Chiming bells, enlivening atmosphere, and heartening carols… The decorated streets shining like a star at the top of the Christmas tree always warms people's minds when it comes to the holiday season. Without a doubt, Christmas is the biggest celebration of the nation regardless of religion; everybody enjoys the holy spirit in the last week of December. Meanwhile, different opinions regarding X-mas emerges: while some argue that the festive holiday season promotes religious values, others insist that the purpose of the celebration has been distorted in a modern capitalistic society. Below, Lydia Ryu and Raye Park gave some perspectives about what Christmas is for in reality.
