Ms. Choi: Fresh Look on a Familiar Face

Alex Park, Mikey Pierog, Jade Lee, and Alyssa Chang February 14, 2022
A variety of people take care of the school behind the scenes–obviously, the school doesn’t run itself. There are many different positions to handle; such as business management, marketing, faculty/event services, office management, etc. They’re essential for us to function, but students don’t know much about the staff or what they do. The Jets Flyover decided to find out more about the inner workings of DIS, interviewing Ms. Choi from the main office does at DIS and what brings her joy.

Around the Globe With Leanne

Harry Cho, Mikey Pierog, and Justin Park  February 10, 2022
New year, new people: Leanne joins the 8th grade as the newest Jet on campus. In the age of masked faces, she brings a fresh perspective to the world stemming from her diverse history. To find out more about this brand-new student, I sat down with Leanne and interviewed her on subjects including her past life, why she came here, and more.

Warm Welcomes for Ms. Ni Thuathail

Harry Cho and Mikey Pierog September 29, 2021
Some teachers choose their career paths early in life, and get into the profession fresh out of university, while others find their calling later in adulthood. Ms. Ni Thuathail represents the latter; she used to work as a scientist in a laboratory, and now she teaches DIS students to do the same. The Jets Flyover decided to find out more about what inspired the professional switch, and her big move halfway around the globe.
