Kindergarteners to fifth graders and their families gathered in the Jetnasium for the annual Spring Fine Arts Festival on Thursday, May 25th. The school hosted young musicians and artists who proudly presented the hard work they accumulated throughout the year.

Mr. Park, the elementary music teacher, said, “The theme of the Spring Fine Arts Festival was color, and we never tried this theme before. I picked this theme because this year, we are talking about diversity and anti-racism. So in those songs, we are talking about how there are different colors, but every color has to come together to make a beautiful view or beautiful sound overall. I think it was a good message to elementary students that we are all here as the same community and the same family.”

Elementary art teacher Mrs.Gum said, “It was a really nice way to come back to doing found objects sculptures, which we haven’t been able to do in the last several years due to COVID. I think that was the highlight of the show this year. The students have really been wanting to do it because they weren’t allowed to really get close together, and they weren’t allowed to share supplies for so long. So I think that was something that the kids really enjoyed.”

The show embraced diversity and revitalized much-needed traditions. Students, staff, and parents alike enjoyed the vibrant festival. Check out the photos below.
