The 2025 DIS secondary cross country season concluded with strong finishes and multiple personal bests, highlighting the runners’ determination and steady growth throughout the year. The season began at the SKAIS (South Korea Association of International Schools) Divisionals on Sept. 27 at the International School of Busan (ISB), where athletes competed in hot conditions and on challenging courses. Despite these early obstacles, middle and high school runners delivered consistent performances, earning several medals and new personal records.
The team carried that momentum into the KISAC (Korean International Schools Activities Conference) tournament in Jeju from Oct. 24 to Oct. 25. Off the mainland, runners navigated steep terrain and a demanding competition schedule, testing both endurance and focus. On Nov. 20, the DIS team returned to Daegu for the SKAIS Finals at Bongmu Lake, where strong organization and school support contributed to a smooth and spirited meet.
The season concluded on a positive note, as athletes gained experience in resilience and endurance through competition and training. Coach Coleman recognized the team’s commitment and perseverance, and noted that 2025 marked the largest cross country roster he ever coached. He added that the season established a solid foundation and positions the program for continued success in the years ahead.
