End-of-2023 secondary Fine Arts Festival warms hearts

The fine arts department topped 2023 off with the middle and high school Winter Fine Arts Festival in the Jetnasium on Dec. 14. Holiday decorations and intricate artwork adorned the gym, and the concert band played 12 songs. At the lively, spectator-packed venue, the audience took pictures, wrote comments for artists who showcased their semester’s work and immersed themselves in the music. Near the end of the night, all grade levels came together as a Megaband for a joint performance of “Zig Zag.”

The high school rock band Blastoise wrapped up the show with their surprise concert of “To You.” The nostalgic performance pleasantly astonished concertgoers. As the lights came back on, parents clamored to greet the musicians with applause and bouquets. With this, the 2023 season met a wintery end, and students returned home with renewed hopes for the new year.
