DIS welcomed parents to campus on December 2nd, to provide information on ways to enhance their child’s reading ability. Natashya Hays, the guest literacy consultant, said, “Today I am meeting with parents, and we’re gonna talk about the process of reading and things that we can do at home to support our children as readers as they grow.”

Families poured onto campus for the first Back to School Night since the Before Times. The event was hosted at DIS on the evening of August 24. This continued tradition had halted for a while due to COVID, but finally, DIS was able to hold an open event for families to come to participate. With positive feedback from parents and students alike, the night was a great success. Mrs. Cameron proudly remarks that over 200 students and parents participated.
