Today we have Dylan and Juan at the helm. Flora and Grace hang out with the art department. Raina and Luna take you inside the newly renovated dorm kitchen.

Grace and Flora introduce the Visual Arts Club and National Arts Honors Society. They are clubs designed to enhance our campus. Check out their work, history, and the plans that NAHS and the Visual Arts Club have in store.

Raina and Luna bring you some updates from the newly designed dorm kitchen. They talk to baking and cooking club members and residents of the dorm. There are ovens, refrigerators, a great layout, and more. Come and check it all out.

Dylan Wang, Managing Editor

Dylan Wang declares himself as a Renaissance man. His interests vary from music to sports, and he participates in varieties of extracurricular activities such as Rock Band, MUN, and Student Council. For this reason, he writes in many different styles about many different topics, from features to opinion pieces. Through this process, he attained several useful strategies and tips, and now he helps others learn to write like a pro. As Managing Editor of the Jets Flyover, Dylan hopes to help new staff writers grow as he ends his DIS journey.

Juan Cortez, Multimedia Journalist

Juan Cortez is an opinionated senior that likes to sing, play sports, and overall entertain people. So far his favorite subjects are Video Production and Music. As a sports fanatic, Juan particularly enjoys the volleyball season, due to the fact that he will take his place as the ace this year! Quite evidently, sports spikes Juan Cortez’s interest, explaining why he writes about the athletics that swarms around DIS. Many people have informed him that he displays himself as an affable person, which is why he wants to share his opinions in the Jets Flyover. Additionally, Mexican food has been a specialty for Juan Cortez, due to the fact that he finds comfort in his Mexican side of the family.

Hailey Tzou, Photographer / Designer

As a first year member of the Jets Flyover staff and a DIS veteran, Hailey knows the ins and outs of school events. She loves every sport including volleyball, basketball, and futsal. Through her previous experiences in winning several SKAC tournaments, she looks forward to taking active pictures. In her free time, Hailey enjoys watching movies, hanging out with her friends, and spending time with her cats. Hoping to bring a positive impact to the team, she takes the role of a photographer, designer, and editor.

Raina Lee, Multimedia Director

Raina Lee returns for her second year of journalism as the Multimedia Director. She hopes to elevate the Flyover presence on and off campus and inspire budding Jets with her writing, designs, and photography. On top of her leadership role, she strives to continue writing articles across genres from opinion polls to social issues. Outside of the classroom, she vibes to music, pops by trendy shops, watches sports, and constantly looks for journalistic inspiration.

Luna Kang, Section Editor

Luna, after 13 long years, finally enters her last act as a senior at DIS. She vibes with illustration and photography, but also takes great interest in music and literature. Having been with the Flyover for over half her time here, Luna reads and spices up almost every article that gets published. So far, her own best articles are in the feature categories - Go check them out!
