Second grader Arin Son blends her piano techniques and singing. Her controlled phrasing and musical balance creates a cohesive and engaging presence.

The DIS community gathered at the Jetnasium to watch the students’ spectacular talents at the talent show on March 12. The performances featured vocals, dance, piano and ukulele pieces, show tune duets, beatboxing, drumming and a senior rap performance. As the event unfolded, the show transformed into a shared experience that united teachers, students and parents through celebrations and high spirit.

Outside of school media, Esther contributes to the community through the Yang-rowon Photo Service club, volunteering her photography skills for elders.

Leanne Yoon, dubbed as “Lenny” by her close friends, enters her fifth and final year on staff as the Editor-in-Chief of the Jets Flyover. She makes up for her petite stature with fiery charisma and overflowing passion. As an active leader of clubs such as Menstruation Station, SOAR, Competitive Debate and String Orchestra, Leanne often ponders on what else she could bring to her fellow Jets. Off-campus, she travels all around the world – from the United Arab Emirates to France to Australia – to voice her opinions to an international audience. Leanne writes, takes photos, edits articles, and manages the Flyover. In her final year, she hopes to leave a lasting legacy in the newsroom.
