Elementary students in grades three through five gathered during the ASA period to celebrate Holi through interactive activities on March 6. Hosted by Students Organized Against Racism (SOAR), the event highlighted both learning and creativity in recognition of the global Holi celebration on March 4.
SOAR student officers first led an informative presentation in Ms. Nagy’s room on the origins and cultural significance of Holi. Next, participants took part in an intriguing round of Jeopardy to test their concentration. They concluded the afternoon on a high note with a hands-on tie-dye activity to create colorful t-shirts inspired by the festival’s vibrant traditions.
As the event concluded, young participants left with their finished creations, memorable experiences with friends and appreciation for Holi culture.
