Grace Kim and Wonnie Jang in first grade share a playful moment as they go head-to-head in a board game. Kim reaches for a card, only to realize that Jang eliminated all possibilities for a victory.

The elementary school Jets gathered after school for an engaging afternoon at the Elementary Snack, Play, Create event hosted by the Elementary Student Council (ESC) on Feb. 27. With a variety of interactive activities and booths, the event offered students a well-deserved break from their regular schedule.

After the dismissal bell, participants split into two groups and rotated between the dance studio and the cafeteria. In the dance studio, they enjoyed snacks and board games, while those in the cafeteria participated in a hands-on LEGO-building activity that encouraged creativity and collaboration.

As the event concluded, attendees left campus with lasting memories of an afternoon filled with creativity, connection and fun.

Roy Kim joins the Jets Flyover staff for the first time with a camera and stylus, ready to capture photos and create illustrations. As a veteran in the visual arts department and a photography enthusiast, he aims to add his spark to DIS. With a passion for creativity, he loves to build models, edit photos, and play the oboe. During the winter, Roy enjoys hitting the ski slopes followed by a hot chocolate in the lodge.

Noah Lee, Photographer

Senior Noah Lee enters his first year on the yearbook staff. He specializes in capturing funny and unforgettable moments through photography, and aims to bring a fresh perspective to the yearbook. Outside of school, Noah spends most of his time on the basketball court, where he finds both excitement and inspiration in the game. When not on the court or behind the camera, he enjoys the Samsung Lions KBO team and baseball video games.
