Freshmen Katniss Kim and Ellie Park roar with Mr. Gum the frog. The large number of animals roaming in the halls transform the school into a zoo.

Secondary students united for the busiest day of the week, Halloween on Oct. 31. From elves to rabbits and witches to princesses, the halls buzzed with excitement and candy.

Chemistry teacher Ms. Marchan arches her back and shows off her electric blue hair. With her braids flying, she’s the perfect embodiment of Jinx brought to life. olyaaa

Olya Karpenko starts her second year with the Jets Flyover. In her junior year, she contributed as an illustrator, but now she expands her skills to take on the role of social media manager. Through a strong passion for art, design, photography, and editing, Olya brings a creative eye to every project she takes on. Outside of school, she enjoys music, TV, and of course, catching up on sleep.

Ana Avaasuren enters her junior year as a photographer and designer for the yearbook. She joined the staff to share her attention to detail and her interest in visual storytelling. Off campus, she enjoys baking, piano, cafe hopping, and traveling. Ana finds inspiration in the experiences and people she encounters. Calm and cool, Ana lives in the dorm. She migrated to DIS last year from the plains of Mongolia.

Ellen Cho leaps into her 3rd year of high school, with a drive to strive into diverse fields. She explores art, media, and more in her daily schedule. This year, she steps up her photography game as a member of the yearbook staff. Open to new experiences, Ellen loves to learn about the humanities. Through illustrations and photojournalism on the Flyover, Ellen hopes to bring her one-of-a-kind perspective to DIS and expand the vision of our readers.
