After a lively day in music class, a group of high schoolers doze off in their lockers. The classical music flowing from the music room lulls them to sleep

Fuzzy slippers shuffle through the halls as the Jets begin Spirit Week in their favorite pajamas on Oct. 27. Wrapped in warmth and creativity, students ease into the week.

Lily Lee returns to the staff with her wide smile and luscious hair. As she watches the clock tick, she reflects on whether or not her name will make a sports banner in the Jetnasium before graduation. Besides fame and glory in the gym, she hopes to leave her mark on the Jets Flyover before her departure. You’ll catch her on the court shooting hoops or buzzing around school on the lookout for mural locations.  Nonetheless, she takes great pride in her work ethic and her “tall” stature. 
Mihini Edirisinghe
Mihini Edirisinghe, Broadcast Journalist and Photographer
Mihini Edirisinghe, a junior who loves video production and photography, pushes herself to direct videos anytime she’s free. She loves astronomy so much that she established an astronomical society Lunch Club. Mihini’s passion for music shines as she dances to pop music and plays piano and violin. She ranked fourth as an all island swimmer, basketball, netball, and handball player in her previous school. And now she dabbles in hockey and squash – a sports enthusiast to say the least. With her Model UN experience as delegate and head chair she brings extensive research and extroverted energy to any committee. People always notice her big smile and willingness to lend a hand. She looks forward to sharing her experiences from back home in Sri Lanka with DIS.

With an observant eye for detail and a passion for finding the perfect shot, Esther has quickly made her mark on the DIS media team. From setting up cameras to editing videos, she takes pride in capturing the essence of school life in every shot. Outside of school media, Esther contributes to the community through the Yang-rowon Photo Service club, volunteering her photography skills for elders.
