3. Master Ball reverse holo Larvesta from Black Bolt
The term “reverse holo” refers to a Pokémon card variant where the background and the border are reflective, rather than the Pokémon itself. As a Master Ball reverse holo, this rarer card features Master Balls instead of the typical, flat holofoil. Pulling this Larvesta made my day, as I had always hoped to own a Master Ball holo card of my own.
4. N’s Zorua AR from Journey Together
Just like Iono’s Bellibolt UR, I pulled this full-art card at Pokémon Trainer School Daegu. The bleak backstory of the trainer, N, depicts Zorua as his most significant partner Pokémon. With that, Zorua’s pure happiness as it spends time with its trainer, combined with N’s calm expression, always brings a smile to my face.
5. Cheren U from White Flare
Unlike the others, this one does not have a full-card illustration or a special holographic effect. But regardless, I still cherish it over so many others. The background depicts the symbolic Trainer School, where the protagonist battles Cheren for the first time after completing the tutorial. Despite its low monetary value, the thought and care put into the artwork make this card top most of the other cards I own, even the highly valuable ones.
