DIS veteran Selina Son makes her mark in her final year on the Jets Flyover staff. With confidence, extroversion, and a dash of charisma, she jumps from classroom to classroom to share her hot takes. From social issues to science conspiracies, Selina knows it all. As the president of SOAR and string orchestra, Selina graces the campus with bubbles of entertainment and joy.
Annie Cho, Section Editor
Annie returns for her 3rd year on the Flyover staff as a section editor. As a junior she participates in various sports, extracurriculars, and Lunch Clubs. As an enthusiastic forensics student, she leads Science National Honor Society, MUN Club, Peer Tutoring Club, and Debate Club. In her free time, she enjoys books, TV shows, and shooting hoops with her friends. This year she hopes to share deeper and more investigative stories with the DIS community.
Sunny Oh, Photographer / Designer
Sunny opens another chapter of her life as a photographer and designer on the Jets Flyover staff. With priceless memories and experiences as a yearbook staff member last year, she starts her new journey as the editor-in-chief, aspiring to bring the yearbook to the next level. Sunny loves music, dance, art, and sports, especially volleyball. She contributes her passion for aesthetics to the JetsFlyover and anticipate the future of the program.
Leanne Yoon, Editor in Chief
Leanne Yoon, dubbed as “Lenny” by her close friends, (finally) joins the Journalism class in her junior year as the Editor-in-Chief of the Jets Flyover. She makes up for her short stature with fiery charisma and passion. As an active leader of clubs such as Students Organizing Against Racism, Debate Club and String Orchestra, Leanne often ponders on what else she could bring to her fellow Jets. Off-campus, she shares her perspectives with an international audience in countries ranging from the United Arab Emirates to France. Leanne writes, takes photos, edits articles, and manages the Flyover.
Lewis Kim, Photographer and Photo Editor
Lewis Hanseo Kim, a senior at DIS, reigns supreme as a passionate photographer, videographer, and scientist. His enthusiasm for photography motivated him to start the Yang-ro Won Photo Service Club, and his profound interest in science led him to conduct multiple studies, which earned him honorable recognition. From meticulous research and innovative engineering to creative photography, he always attempts unique endeavors that set him apart. From superhero motion graphics to award winning historical documentaries, his imagination knows no bounds. With his creative mind and top tier photography, Lewis hopes to bring the Jets Flyover to the next level.
Olya Karpenko, Illustrator
Olya Karpenko illustrates for the Jets Flyover. She can sketch up a storm for any writer. Her biggest hobby is music. For Olya, music represents more than just sound. It means emotions and atmospheres that wrap around her soul. As a globetrotter, Olya jumps from place to place, and has lived in Europe and Asia. A proud member of National Art Honor Society, Olya brings passion and creativity to all of her classes and clubs during her second year at DIS.
