Jet Stream February 25th, 2022

Jodie Lee and Geo Park

Thank you for tuning into the Jet Stream. Today Jodie and Geo bring you two great segments about yearbook photos and Korean culture.

Blast from the past! Yearbook photos took place last week. Youni and Lisa went around the campus to check out how students and teachers react to their old yearbook photos. They were surprised, shocked, and amazed at their photos. The good old days!

Do you know what each of the following words mean: 화이팅, 눈치, and 썸? These three Korean words are unique to every other language as they can not be clearly translated into English. The words that are interpreted in this video are used daily and are very common to Koreans. Watch Jodie and Jiyun as they explain the meaning and nuance behind each of the three unique Korean words.
