Elementary art teacher Mrs. Gum and second grade teacher Mrs. Kaschub light up the field in their cheer uniforms and matching bows. Their enthusiasm and team spirit bring extra cheer to the school community.

The campus transformed into a lively arena as the Jets boasted their favorite athletic team garb on Oct. 28. Students faced off in sprints, obstacle courses and team challenges, giving a chance for everyone to show their sporty side.

Fifth graders take to the turf in their mix of jerseys and sporty outfits, ready to keep the momentum going. With soccer season in full swing after their strong showing at the SKAC Divisionals, they bring confidence and excitement to every match.

Annie returns for her 3rd year on the Flyover staff as a section editor. As a junior she participates in various sports, extracurriculars, and Lunch Clubs. As an enthusiastic forensics student, she leads Science National Honor Society, MUN Club, Peer Tutoring Club, and Debate Club. In her free time, she enjoys books, TV shows, and shooting hoops with her friends. This year she hopes to share deeper and more investigative stories with the DIS community.

She aims to provide a valuable experience for all writers through the Jets Flyover and Journalism class, and she has made it her mission to deliver compelling stories to the DIS community. Outside of school, Apple loves to travel, pop and classical music, and learn to play various instruments. You can often find her tucked away in a corner with a bucket of popcorn and her favorite movie series—John Wick.
