Description of Episode 1:  Welcome to the first episode of DIScussion Hub. We start with a new series called “Unsung Heroes”. We interview people who don’t get a lot of spotlight at school, but make a big difference behind the scenes. This episode features the amazing cafeteria nutritionist who keeps our students and teachers nourished with food, and Mr. Jack Bae, a longtime dedicated DIS facility member. Join us as we hear their stories.

Honglim Jin, Broadcast Journalist
Honglim Jin in eighth grade marks his third year as a broadcast journalist. Honglim loves to spend time in the mountains. But his biggest passion will always be fencing, because of the influence of his older brother. In his eight years of experience, he now sets his sights on a true, professional future in the sport. Honglim currently fences on the official Daegu team. Besides foils (the true name of a fencing sword), Honglim loves social studies and math. He started his podcast to learn more things about audio engineering and the lives of his DIS peers.

Tony Kim, Broadcast Journalist
Tony Kim, an eighth grader, is thrilled to begin his second year as a broadcast journalist. Radio shows and podcasts were the key inspirations that sparked his interest in starting them himself. He loves to play all kinds of sports, especially football, as he is the captain of the school’s football team. Tony enjoys spending his free time watching action movies or diving into fantasy books. As part of the podcast team, he’s eager to share fun and engaging stories with listeners.
