Elementary students attended the cultural commemoration sponsored by the Minhwa Club and the Key Club on April 24 to learn the beauty of Korean culture. Through hands-on lessons, budding artists created their own kites and drew minhwa (민화), a tradition of folk painting rooted in Korean history. The students left the room with masterpieces in their hands and a deep appreciation for Korean traditions.
First grader Cian Kim and sophomore Maddox Jolly color their minhwa with focus and care. Even in silence, they show mutual support and appreciation for one another.
