To celebrate the successes of Season 1, students, teachers, and staff gathered in the Jetnasium on Oct. 29, 2024. The Drama Club’s rendition of “Matilda” and performances by the Illusion Dance Team and the rock bands captivated the crowd. Coaches celebrated the phenomenal results that the athletes’ dedication bore. With one season down and two left to go, the Jets aim to power through the rest of the year.

Alex Seo, Writer
Alex Seo enters freshman year with a new style of his own. His enthusiasm for journalism and the Flyover spreads to his friends every Friday when he shares school news and local stories. A scholar-athlete, he anticipates his success in high school sports, especially since he served as the captain for the middle school volleyball and futsal teams. Alex plans to further craft his journalist chops this year. He can't wait to gain invaluable personal experiences as a high schooler.
Jessica Woo, Editor in Chief
A six year veteran in the Flyover, Jessica Woo returns as a senior for her final Jets Flyover year. As an engaged student who loves to read and write, Jessica loves to help other students improve and always attempts to step up as a writer herself. Jessica loves to communicate and delivers informative messages to the DIS community. As much as she adores writing, Jessica deems herself a baseball-holic and attempts to watch every game if possible.
Grace Cho, Broadcast Journalist
Grace Cho devotes herself to the Jets Flyover staff. With her warm spirit, she brings joy to those around her. She indulges in the magic of romance movies and expresses herself creatively through her piano performances. Filled with boundless energy, she hopes to spread positivity throughout the DIS community.
Leanne Yoon, Editor in Chief
Leanne Yoon, dubbed as “Lenny” by her close friends, (finally) joins the Journalism class in her junior year as the Editor-in-Chief of the Jets Flyover. She makes up for her short stature with fiery charisma and passion. As an active leader of clubs such as Students Organizing Against Racism, Debate Club and String Orchestra, Leanne often ponders on what else she could bring to her fellow Jets. Off-campus, she shares her perspectives with an international audience in countries ranging from the United Arab Emirates to France. Leanne writes, takes photos, edits articles, and manages the Flyover.
Sophia Bae, Writer and Illustrator
As a writer and illustrator, Sophia spends most of their free time drawing and listening to music. Additionally, their involvement in LOVE club leadership showcases their enthusiasm to foster diversity and inclusivity in the community. They love to explore multiple perspectives on controversial issues, and they aim to raise awareness of them with contributions to the Jets Flyover.
