With space left on your resume and time left during recess, lunch clubs offer a simple way to contribute to the school community with others. Jets Tailspin shares tips on starting your own.
- Make sure you have four friends who’ll join whatever club you make to meet the quota
- Promise the kids that join you’ll let them out early every week
- Make a fancy name that’ll look good on paper
- Be sure to shorten your long name to an acronym that sounds weird when you say it out loud or one no one can remember
- Assign officer positions to your friends to keep them coming and build their resumes too
- Do an event or campaign early in the year so you look like you get a lot done, then coast the rest of the time
- Look at the school calendar, choose a day of the week with the most amount of half-days or holidays and events so that you get to cancel a lot of meetings
- Find one passionate member and give them all the work so you can phone it in at the end of the year
- Make sure your club stays relevant enough to be sustained – throw a Kahoot advisory “event” every so often

These steps to making a club is so good! I hope people read these and make more clubs for DIS because clubs are fun. I think that students and teachers can do surveys about which clubs people would like!
