The Elementary Spring Fine Arts Festival welcomed the change of seasons with a journey through various eras of music and mediums of art. Performances and projects shone brightly with the dedication of all students and the guidance of Mr. Park and Mrs. Gum. Parents and loved ones watched in awe as their children impressed the audience with their performances. Proud parents and friends exchanged praises, and flowers adorned the Jetnasium.

The Elementary Spring Fine Arts Festival welcomed the change of seasons with a journey through various eras of music and art mediums on May 31. Performances and projects shone brightly with the dedication of all students and the guidance of Mr. Park and Mrs. Gum. Parents and loved ones watched in awe as their children impressed the audience with their performances. Proud parents and friends exchanged praises, and flowers adorned the Jetnasium.

Tamara’s interests include movies, tourism, reading, and drawing. As a second-year staff member, she wants to inspire others and bring positive impact to the newsroom.

Nayoung Kim, Broadcast Journalist
Nayoung Kim, president of Greenpeace, Eco-lution, and Peer Tutoring Club, shares her vivid passion for the environment and contemporary issues with the ear of the school community. Her brand new, popular podcast raises awareness and acts as a call for help to aid the world in becoming a better place. This year, she collaborates with Greenpeace, to bring new monthly podcast episodes to the community. Also, a famous second-year Jet Stream Host, her enthusiasm to engage with the DIS community and spread the news boosts the energy of the school. 
Dylan Wang
Dylan Wang, Managing Editor
Dylan Wang declares himself as a Renaissance man. His interests vary from music to sports, and he participates in varieties of extracurricular activities such as Rock Band, MUN, and Student Council. For this reason, he writes in many different styles about many different topics, from features to opinion pieces. Through this process, he attained several useful strategies and tips, and now he helps others learn to write like a pro. As Managing Editor of the Jets Flyover, Dylan hopes to help new staff writers grow as he ends his DIS journey.

Wake up, drink coffee, go to school, bike home, and fall asleep. A typical schedule repeats itself for what feels like forever. Soon it all comes to an end. DIS veteran Eugene Sung returns to the Jets Flyover team as a writer in his senior year. During his last year at this nostalgic campus, he aspires to enjoy his time left – to visit his favorite places and laugh with his closest friends one final time.  He also hopes to make memories of a lifetime at the Flyover, take candid photos, interview new people, and leave his legacy behind through his writing.

A six year veteran in the Flyover, Jessica Woo returns as a senior for her final Jets Flyover year. As an engaged student who loves to read and write, Jessica loves to help other students improve and always attempts to step up as a writer herself. Jessica loves to communicate and delivers informative messages to the DIS community. As much as she adores writing, Jessica deems herself a baseball-holic and attempts to watch every game if possible.
